What to Expect
in Therapy
Therapy can be a transformative experience and your connection with the therapist is the best predictor of success. After contacting my office, we will set up a free, 15 minute phone conversation before beginning therapy. Here I can see if I would be the best person to help with your concerns. People I work with often have questions about my background, experience, and approach in therapy.

Each therapy session is between 45-55 minutes long, unless we decide otherwise. The focus of our time will be decided through collaborative discussions regarding your needs, goals in therapy, and hopes for the future. Our first intake session will explore your background and allow you to ask any questions you have about me or about therapy. It is common for us to use the first several sessions to determine our fit and ability to work together.
Payment
I accept certain insurances as listed below. If I am not covered by your specific plan, it may be worth checking your out of network coverage. Most insurance companies will reimburse some portion of my fees. I can provide you a Super Bill which allows you to submit to insurances for out of network coverage.
Those wishing to avoid insurance concerns or limitations of their plans may choose to pay privately. Please contact me for more details.

Plans I currently accept:
Aetna
Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield

Insurance plans differ on reimbursement, so it is important to check this prior to our meetings. It is also important to verify cost and limits on services as you are responsible for payment after each session. I invite you to call or email my office to discuss specific details.
